Krungthai Bank Executives and Team Present “Krungthai X Talent Development” Collaboration Project

                   On February 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, executives from Krungthai Bank’s Head Office, led by Mr. Kamon Thananithaporn, Assistant Managing Director of the Segmentation Team, along with a team of 8 representatives, met with the leadership of Walailak University (WU). The university delegation was led by Associate Professor Dr. Suwit Wuthisuthimethavee, Vice President for Strategic Planning and Governance.

The meeting was also attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Atnan Techo-phisalvong, Director of the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development; Ms. Hattakan Karunpaisarn, Head of the Finance and Accounting Division; and staff from both departments. The session took place at Meeting Room 2/1, 2nd Floor, Prof. Dr. Wichit Srisa-an Building.

Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited recognizes the importance of youth education as a fundamental pillar for sustainable national development. Given Walailak University’s reputation for academic excellence as a leading institution, the bank discussed several key areas of support for the university’s educational initiatives, including:

  1. The “Krungthai X WU Talent Development” Partnership: This includes Project-Based Student Internships, Career Exploration programs, and financial literacy initiatives for students, staff, and the community (People Excellence).

  2. Exploring Synergy: Discussing prominent and high-potential university projects that can be integrated or linked with the bank’s operations.

The Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development further discussed specific collaborative frameworks with Krungthai Bank as follows:

  1. 8-Month Cooperative Education Placement: Collaborating to place students in departments where the bank has specific talent needs. Previous placements highlighted the need for more clearly defined work durations and job descriptions.

  2. Financial Literacy and Potential Development: This initiative, consisting of special lectures and workshops, has been successfully implemented for three years.

  3. Continuous Upskilling & Reskilling: Ongoing support for career exploration and skill enhancement for both current students and alumni.

In the near future, Walailak University and Krungthai Bank PCL will officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the “Talent Development” project to further enhance the potential of Walailak University students.
